Catering vs. Personal Chef Services: What’s the Difference?
You are hosting an event and you’re considering food options. But wait – what’s this about personal chefs? How are they different from caterers? Aren’t they the same thing? Nope. Leaf and Loaf offers both services. Same amazing company, same exceptional client service, same fantastic food. But slightly different offerings.
CATERING is a usually one-time event. Leaf and Loaf will plan the menu, prepare the food at the event site (no dropping platters of food from the van to the kitchen) and we will set up a gorgeous buffet with food for all! We will help you feed your group from 15- 50, making sure everyone has a plate of something beautiful and delicious in their hands.
PERSONAL CHEF SERVICES are an ongoing, weekly service. Having a Personal Chef is like your very own magical food fairy who knows how and what you want to eat, shows up while you are out of the kitchen, and magically fills your refrigerator with amazing food. Think of them as your own private restaurant chef but you get to enjoy your meals in your own home, and without any of the stress of grocery shopping, meal planning and fears that the gluten free dish is not really gluten free.
If you’ve ever attended a super fun event, you probably remember the food. Food is the magic that holds any gathering together- especially if it’s beautifully thought out, created, arranged AND it’s fantastically fresh and delicious!

But what exactly is catering, and how do you know if you need it? Oh, and what’s the deal with personal chefs? Is that just for movie stars and professional athletes? Keep reading!
