Have you ever opened your refrigerator at 5:00 PM, stared into it for a solid minute, and somehow hoped dinner would magically appear? All while kids are screaming, you are hangry and dinner is just not there. Decision fatigue sets in and all you know is you JUST. NEED. FOOD. Me too. (But now without the screaming kids.)
That’s exactly why I created the Leaf and Loaf Meal Prep Workshop.
I work with clients every day as a Personal Chef, and one thing I’ve learned is that most people don’t need to become gourmet chefs – they just need a better system. If you already cook for yourself but feel like meal planning, grocery shopping, and weekly prep are taking over your life, this workshop was designed with you in mind.
My goal is simple: help you spend less time wondering what’s for dinner and more time enjoying your life – all while eating food that is tasty AND good for your body. Food Is Medicine!
Why Learn from Me?
I’ve spent more than 15 years as a professional chef, cooking for families, individuals with specific health concerns, and people who simply want to feel better through the food they eat.
I’ve also spent years teaching cooking classes and nutrition-focused workshops for everyone from teenagers to cancer survivors to busy professionals. Along the way, I’ve collected a lot of practical knowledge – and quite a few kitchen shortcuts – that I’m excited to share.
In this workshop, we’ll talk about:
- How to make weekly meal prep faster and easier
- Ways to reduce food waste (because throwing away expensive produce feels painful)
- Strategies to save money at the grocery store
- How to create simple meals that support health and reduce inflammation
- Kitchen organization tips that actually work
- Real-life meal prep systems for real-life busy people
No complicated spreadsheets. No color-coded binders. No spending your entire Sunday chopping vegetables. No apps to download.

Who is this workshop for?
- Busy families trying to keep everyone fed
- Working professionals who are tired of ordering unhealthy takeout
- Corporate teams interested in wellness
- Health and nutrition-focused groups
- Singles cooking for themselves
- Friends who want to learn something useful together
Basically, if you eat food and would like meal preparation to feel less stressful, you’re a great fit.
What happens during the workshop?
I’ve designed the workshop to be easy, approachable, and truly enjoyable. It’s hosted live on Zoom, so you can attend from your kitchen, your couch, or wherever you happen to be for that hour. You don’t need to prep anything beforehand. No homework. No ingredients. No fancy equipment. Just show up ready to learn and be inspired and motivated.
The workshop includes:
- A 40-minute live presentation
- More than 20 minutes for questions at the end
- Plenty of practical tips you can use immediately
- Real-life examples from my years as a Personal Chef
FAIR WARNING: many people finish the workshop feeling strangely motivated to clean out their refrigerator and go grocery shopping. I consider that a success. You may want to plan that into your day.

WORKSHOP OPTIONS
GROUP. Gather Your People.
Want to host a workshop for friends, family, coworkers, or a wellness group? Invite up to 12 people for your group workshop. If you have a few more, we can make room!
Investment: $250 total for the group. (That’s about $20 per person – less than many lunch outings and significantly more useful.)
PRIVATE. One on One with Me.
If you’d prefer personalized support, I also offer private workshops. We’ll cover the same material, but we’ll spend more time focusing on your specific challenges, questions, dietary needs, and goals.
Investment: $125. Think of it as having your own personal meal prep coach for an hour or so.
“But Don’t You Offer Meal Prep Services?”
I do! And no, I’m not trying to put myself out of business.
The reality is that in-home meal prep services aren’t the right fit for everyone. Sometimes it’s a budget consideration. Sometimes it’s scheduling. Sometimes it’s geography. And I’m just one person running my company.
I still want to help people eat real food, feel better, save money, and reduce stress around meals.
This workshop allows me to share the same strategies I use with my personal chef clients and my own meals, so more people can benefit.
Whether I’m cooking for someone or teaching them how to cook for themselves, my mission is the same: help people nourish themselves with delicious, real food.

Or Maybe You’d Rather Hire a Personal Chef
If the thought of meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning still makes you want to take a nap, I completely understand.
Leaf and Loaf also offers customized in-home meal prep services for individuals and families who would rather have a professional handle the task.
Let’s have a conversation – either over the phone or in your kitchen – and see if we’re a good fit.
After all, life is too short to spend every evening asking, “What’s for dinner?” while staring into the refrigerator and getting no response back.
With Love,
~ Chef Sue
